In the rubber product vulcanizing machine, there is a vacuum flat vulcanizing machine, a self-opening die vulcanizing machine with a degree of automation, and a transfer type vulcanizing machine between a common flat vulcanizing machine and an injection molding vulcanizing machine. With the continuous vulcanizing press, there has been new progress in continuous vulcanization and reaction injection molding. A large number of excellent finite element software have appeared, which can more accurately simulate the temperature field in the vulcanization process of rubber products. Not only can more reasonable vulcanization conditions be established, but intelligent control can be achieved.

Fully automated production of tires

Representative of non-traditional new concept technologies is the fully automated production of tires, developed by several large tire companies around the world, such as Michelin’s C3M. The main points of this technology are:
1 continuous low temperature rubber mixing;
2 directly extrude the rubber component;
3 forming a braided/wound skeleton layer on the forming drum;
4 pre-vulcanized annular tread;
5 tire electric heating vulcanization.


The key equipment for the new concept is the special weaving machine and extruder. The special knitting unit is arranged with the forming drum as the core, the non-joined annular carcass ply and the belt layer are woven around the forming drum, and the steel wire ring is obtained by winding the steel wire around the forming drum. The extrusion unit continuously mixes the low temperature (below 90 °C), extrudes the sidewall, the apex rubber and other rubber components. The rubber components are not cooled or parked, and they are not processed and pre-configured. Finish the tire molding on the forming drum at one time. The forming drum is always heated during the forming process, and the green tire is pre-vulcanized while being formed to reach a predetermined shape. The new concept tire manufacturing technology features investment saving, small floor space, low production cost and high production efficiency.
